Running in 2019
By Jen Lewis
Last year I completed my first marathon, and it was exhilarating. I ran a total of 820.1 miles, with an average pace of 9:23 over the entire twelve months. I burned 99,158 calories, had a total elevation climb of 121,374.4 feet, and spent 128 hours and 16 minutes running.
2018 was a great year for running. And also just a great year for me.
But I'm not stopping now.
Goals for 2019!
I'm on track to run a marathon on my birthday. Turning 26 in 2019, so I'm running 26(.2) miles. I have a few friends who are going to run either the whole thing, or some of it with me. After that, I'm looking at the Mendocino Coast 50k. I'm still on the waitlist (#26 as of January 18 - so close!), but I think I'll make it in. I mostly want this medal...
I can't wait!
